What's new? The service now has a step-by-step mode. Instead of the usual dynamic map, the route is shown as a sequence of maneuvers that can be scrolled through one by one.
Each step contains:
- the direction of movement;
- distance to the next maneuver;
- a clear guideline.
The main feature of the mode
The map is fixed in step-by-step mode and does not depend on geolocation fluctuations. Even if the GPS signal disappears or "jumps", the route does not change and does not confuse the driver. You can switch to this mode immediately after setting the route.
Improvements in the standard mode as well
Now Yandex Maps uses several sources of location data at once: GPS, mobile network, and Wi-Fi. If the system understands that accuracy is suffering, the user will be prompted to specify their position manually. In this case, the card will lock in, and the service will continue to work without being tied to an unstable signal.
